LoL Arena Set to Return Later This Year

LoL Arena is set to exit the game with the conclusion of the Soul Fighter event, but players won't need to wait too long to enjoy it again, as it's confirmed to return later this year.

Without a doubt, Arena stands out as one of this year's highlights. It is a fast-paced game featuring multiple round-robin battles between four two-man teams. Either solo or with your duo, you can join the queue and enter the game and win games with the help of items, augments and power plants.

This game mode has completely piqued the interest of both newcomers and veteran players and swiftly becoming a fan favorite since its introduction. This game mode is perfect for players who only crave for chaos and duels, without going through the exhausting in-game objectives. It's also an excellent choice for players looking to unwind and play casually after an intense ranked match, experiment with new champions, ARAM-only players, or essentially anyone eager to savor what Arena brings to the table.

Due to this, players persistently express their desire for it to become a permanent mode. However, as per Riot Axes, Arena is intended to remain a part of the Soul Fighter event, and this may not be possible for now.

As the Soul Fighter event draws to a close, players are left wondering when they'll have the chance to dive into one of the best game modes ever created. Fortunately, players won’t have to wait for too long.

On League of Legends’s official Tencent QQ, it has been revealed that the Arena is slated to return in December of this year. This is alongside the introduction of new ranked changes to be implemented. The announcement, unfortunately, lacks additional details such as the exact release date or notable updates and additions. Nevertheless, Riot Maxwell hints that more information may be accessible soon.

On his Reddit account, he noted that the team is presently deliberating the mode's future and affirmed to players that they have no plans to abandon it like the past game modes. He also added that Riot Brightmoon and Riot Meddler will release a dev update soon about Arena.

League of Legends Arena and the Soul Fighter event is scheduled to end today, August 28, 2023 11:59 PST.
