Everything New in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 brings the new Runners theme, a full Battle Pass lineup, returning Sprites, new weapons, Power Boots, map changes, Reload updates, and major gameplay changes.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is almost here, and the new season is shaping up to be one of the biggest updates of Chapter 7 so far.

The new season is officially called Runners and is set to launch on June 6, 2026, following the Shattered live event on June 5. The season appears to focus heavily on movement, Sprites, new loot, and a refreshed island.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Theme

Chapter 7 Season 3’s main slogan is Runners, with the season centered around Sprites and fast-paced movement. The storyline also appears to continue after the Shattered live event, which focuses on the conflict between The Foundation and the Ice King.

The season also brings back Dr. Slone, who is expected to play a major role in the story. Her return is one of the biggest lore moments of the new Battle Pass.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass Skins

Epic has already revealed the Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass, featuring a mix of original Fortnite characters, remixes, and collabs.

The confirmed Battle Pass skins include:

  • The Guardian
  • Heatwave PJ
  • Vanguard Slone
  • Dylan
  • Cluster
  • John Wick – Pen & Ink
  • The Voidblade
  • Wolfe

The biggest collab in the pass is John Wick – Pen & Ink, a new cel-shaded version of the classic John Wick skin. The Battle Pass also includes a crossover with TheBurntPeanut as a sidekick.

Players who buy the Battle Pass during launch week will also be able to unlock extra rewards such as Gold Huntress Dylan, John Wick and Dog, Dark Cubic Sneakers, and more.

Sprites Are Returning

Sprites are coming back in Chapter 7 Season 3 after originally appearing in Chapter 6 Season 1. These small creatures can attach to players and provide different abilities or buffs during a match.

Season 3 appears to feature the biggest Sprite lineup yet, making them a major part of the new gameplay meta. The gameplay trailer also showed Sprite interactions with weapons, including a Fire Sprite causing an explosive effect when paired with the new Chaos Reloader Assault Rifle.

This could make Sprites one of the most important mechanics to learn early in the season.

New Weapons in Chapter 7 Season 3

Several new and returning weapons are coming to Fortnite Battle Royale in Season 3, giving players more options for close-range fights, mid-range pressure, and movement-based plays.

The current weapon and item lineup includes:

  • Sprites
  • Ranger Pistol
  • John Wick Pistol
  • Rift Pistol
  • O.X.R. Rifle
  • Chaos Reloader Assault Rifle
  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Long-Range Gatekeeper Shotgun
  • Iron Pump Shotgun
  • Twin Hammer Shotguns
  • Twin Mag SMG
  • Stinger SMG
  • Rapid Fire SMG
  • Flex SMG

The Chaos Reloader Assault Rifle appears to follow the same reload-based design as the Chaos Reloader Shotgun from Chapter 7 Season 2.

The Triple Barrel Shotgun is a close-range weapon built around high burst damage.

Power Boots and The Seven Caches

Chapter 7 Season 3 is also adding a new movement item called The Seven Power Boots.

These boots allow players to power slide and sprint faster for a limited time, making them one of the most important mobility items of the season. They should be especially useful in Zero Build, where fast movement and repositioning are key.

The boots are tied to The Seven Caches, new loot containers that appear to drop onto the map through rifts. These caches are expected to contain rare loot and serve as the main way to find Power Boots.

Map Changes

The island is also getting several changes in Chapter 7 Season 3.

One major change is that Dark Dominion is being replaced by a new tropical POI. This new location appears to have the Zero Point exposed in the center, which will likely make it one of the hottest drop spots at the start of the season.

Another new location is Duck Mansion, a POI connected to the new duck-themed Battle Pass content. Since Fortnite often connects Battle Pass skins to map locations, this could become a popular early-season landing spot.

Fortnite Reload Updates

Reload is also getting a major update in Chapter 7 Season 3.

The mode will receive new Morphite weapons, improved reboot loadouts, Battle Bus ADS, glider changes, and fall damage changes.

New Morphite Weapons

Reload’s loot pool is getting three new Morphite weapons:

  • Morphite Hammer Assault Rifle
  • Morphite Sentinel Shotgun
  • Morphite Mammoth Pistol

Progressive Reboot Loadouts

Players will now reboot with stronger gear as the match progresses.

Early Game

  • Common Assault Rifle

Mid Game

  • Morphite Heavy AR
  • Morphite SMG
  • 1 Mini Shield

Late Game

  • Morphite AR
  • Tactical Shotgun
  • 1 Mini Shield
  • 2 Chug Splashes

This makes late-game reboots much more useful, since players will no longer come back with extremely weak gear while the rest of the lobby is already stacked.

Reload Loot Pool Changes

Reload is getting a refreshed loot pool with several vaulted and unvaulted items.

Unvaulted

  • Red-Eye Assault Rifle
  • Combat Pistol
  • Rapid Fire SMG
  • Red-Eye SMG
  • Gatekeeper Shotgun
  • Collateral Damage Assault Rifle
  • Heavy Impact Sniper Rifle
  • Wrecker Revolver

Vaulted

  • Slap Juice
  • Slap Splash
  • Med-Mist Smoke Grenade
  • Slapperoni Pizza
  • Holo Twister Assault Rifle
  • Tactical Pistol
  • Cube Splitter SMG
  • Cube Rifle

Fall Damage and Glider Changes

Reload Zero Build is also removing lethal fall damage. Instead of being eliminated, players will be dropped to 1 HP and lose their shields.

Players will also be able to cut their glider after dropping from the Battle Bus, allowing them to free-fall and reach the ground faster.

Battle Bus ADS

A new quality-of-life feature is also coming in Season 3: Battle Bus ADS.

During the bus ride, players will now be able to aim down sights to get a better view of the island. This should make it easier to ping locations, mark drop spots, and coordinate with teammates before jumping.
