What is the Release Date for Convergence: A League of Legends Story?

Recently, Riot Games has been working on a handful of spin-off projects and games set in the world of League of Legends: Runeterra. Last month they released Mageseeker, their Sylas-focused game. On May 23, Riot Games will release their most recent League of Legends spin-off title: Convergence.

What is Convergence: A League of Legends Story about?

Convergence takes players back to the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun. It's story follows Ekko, a main character in Riot Games' well-received animated series, Arcane. Ekko is a prodigal tech whiz, who figured out how to rewind time. if only by a few seconds. Throughout the game, Ekko will adventure with League of Legends fans through Zaun's underbelly in an action-packed, side-scrolling platformer. Meanwhile, the plot will follow Ekko's discovery of his time tech as he and his friends try to reveal a sinister plot.

Who is League of Legends' Ekko?

When playing League of Legends, Ekko can either be more of an AP bruiser or an AP assassin. This means depending on what you build, he can either be durable but still do damage, or you can go full damage and dive deep to the backline to snipe enemy carries.

His backstory is all about being a young genius who grew up on the hard streets of Zaun. With the ability to turn back time, he hopes it can help elevate Zaun as a city with its own world-changing tech, no longer just Piltover's dark shadow. Whether it's in League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Arcane, or this new Convergence game, Ekko is a fan favorite.

What other League of Legends spin-offs are there?

As far as the franchise goes, Convergence will be the fourth spin-off game, after Ruined King, Hextech Mayhem, and Mageseeker. It will not be the final one, either, as the popularity of League of Legends spin-off games have inspired even more content from Riot Forge. For example, the Song of Nunu video game is still in progress, with even more Runeterra adventures on the way.
