In a blossoming line of League of Legends spin-off games, Mageseeker is the newest story to expand the fascinating lore of Riot Games' Runeterra. After the success of Arcane, Riot Games has been working hard to expand beyond their original League of Legends MOBA, developing RPG experiences that immerse players in the rich backstories of the champions. But when do fans finally get to play Mageseeker?
Mageseeker's release date
Riot Games will release Mageseeker on April 18th. Per Steam and other purchasing platforms' typical behavior, Mageseeker's release time will likely be midnight heading into the 18th. Truly dedicated fans should put on their Boots of Switfness and play the League of Legends story throughout the night.

For multi-platform gamers, they'll be happy to hear the game is available on all patforms, including PC, Switch, XBox, and Playstation.
What is Mageseeker's story?
In Mageseeker, we follow Sylas, the imprisoned mage who Lux helped escape the punishing dungeons of Demacia. Much like The Ruined King explored Bilgewater, this game will likely explore this glowing, virtuous kingdom of Demacia and all its characters. That of course includes Lux and Sylas, of course, but also could mean a whole host of Runeterra's Demacian residents:
- Fiora
- Galio
- Garen
- Jarvan IV
- Kayle
- Lucian
- Morgana
- Poppy
- Quinn
- Shyvana
- Sona
- Vayne
- Xin Zhao

The most likely characters to show up in Mageseeker are Lux's brother, Garen, and the heir to the throne himself, Jarvan IV. But Mageseeker's story could get quite creative with its inclusive of other League of Legends champions.
This 2D action RPG follows Sylas' escape from Demacian prison. After that, you play along as Sylas, building a revolution against the oppressive Demacian anti-magic laws. While his methods can be violent and extreme, Sylas' goal is something that enough Demacians believe: mages shouldn't be imprisoned because they were born with power. And he will fight for their liberation at any cost.
If you'd much rather be playing Sylas in mid-lane, though, you might want to use Tracker Network's In-Game Tracker App to help you bully the most annoying Fizz or Aurelion Sol out of lane.
