How to Get Orange Essence in League of Legends

League of Legends features in-game cosmetics showcasing a vast range of concepts and themes. What is Orange Essence in League of Legends and how to use it?

One of the in-game currencies in League of Legends is called Orange Essence. You may view how much essence you have by selecting the Loot tab. The amount of Orange Essence that you have can be seen at the bottom left of your screen.

In League of Legends, orange essence is actually important, especially if you enjoy collecting skins. Players can get Hextech Chests, Masterwork Chests, Eternal Capsules, and Orbs containing varied rewards either by playing or by investing Riot Points. Opening these will grant any of the following:

Champion Skin shards
Emotes
Ward skin shards
Eternal Set Shard

All of these can be converted into permanent cosmetics in exchange for Orange Essence.

How to quickly farm for Orange Essence in League of Legends

Orange Essence is quite rare and may take some time and a few games before you get to acquire enough amount to convert a skin shard into a permanent one. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to farm for them.

Disenchanting shards

Opening chests, orbs and capsules grants skin shards and emotes. Given rewards are random, granting the chances of getting a shard that’s out of your interest. If that’s not what you needed, you can simply disenchant champion skin shards, ward skin shards, eternal shard set, and emotes for a few orange essences. The value and amount given vary depending on the type and rarity.

Masterwork chests

Aside from skin shards and emotes, Masterwork Chests has a ten percent chance of giving Orange Essence.

Missions

Don’t forget to check out the mission tab when trying to farm for Orange Essence. This is because sometimes, completing these missions may include OE as a reward.

Event Pass

If you’ve purchased the Event Pass, you’re in luck as reaching levels 16 and 46 grants 625 Orange Essence a piece for a total of 1250.
