When does the Valorant closed beta end?

Soon the Valorant closed beta servers will be shutting down, here’s what that means for players and what to expect during that short period of purgatory before the game officially launches.

On June 2, Riot Games’ new tactical shooter, Valorant, releases world-wide (almost). This of course means that the closed beta is coming to an end, and fans will have to spend a few days twiddling their thumbs in anticipation of launch day.

Drops have already finished, so if you are still sitting waiting for that elusive Twitch notification, it’s time to give up. Regardless of whether you were granted access or not, anyone who spent enough time watching eligible Valorant streams will unlock an exclusive player card on day one.

The closed beta will end on May 28, with queues being switched off for all regions at 9:00 AM PT. If you really want to squeeze as much gameplay out of the beta as possible, you can search for a match just before this time and will still be able to play it out.

During the short gap between May 28 and June 2, the Valorant devs will be making all the final touches to get the game ready to go. This includes resetting all progression and ranks, as well as reversing any transactions made via the in-game store. All Valorant points be refunded, as promised, with a 20% thank you bonus.

If you’ve been grinding the closed beta, it may be a good idea to clear your mind of all things Valorant for a couple days so that you are extra hyped come launch. Who am I kidding though, we’ll all be researching strats on aim training on CS:GO.
