VCT EMEA WEEK 3: Recap, Scorelines and Standings

WEEK 3 of VCT EMEA recapped

Week three of the VCT EMEA league saw some exciting matches and surprising upsets. Here's a recap of the third week of the competition.

RECAP

In one of the most anticipated matches of the week, FNATIC faced off against Team Liquid. FNATIC dominated Team Liquid throughout the two maps, as Liquid struggled to find their footing. With this win, FNATIC extends their winning streak and solidifies their spot at the top of the league.

Karmine Corp faced off against Team Vitality. Which saw the humiliation of KC as the team got stomped on their own map pick Ascent, failing to make the comeback that the fans are hoping for.

Giants Gaming started to turn their bad start to the league in the tournament, securing a comfortable win over BBL Esports. BBL Esports, on the other hand, remains without a single win to their name which might jeopardize their chances of making it to the next stage of the tournament.

The Turkish favourites, FUT Esports, impressed the audience and viewers with their win over KOI, with standout performances from FUT members. The team showcase strong map control and dominated KOI throughout both maps. With this win, FUT sits second in the league.

And, NAVI faced off against Team Heretics. After winning the second map, Team Heretics looked to make the audience anticipate a win over the region's giants, however, that didn't go to plan as NAVI closed the third map and shut down Team Heretics hopes.

SCORELINES

Giants Gaming 2-0 BBL Esports

With this win, Giants Gaming turns the tables and makes a path to a comeback in the league. Giants Gaming now sits at 5th spot in the league, right below NAVI.

Team Vit 2-0 Karmine Corp

Team Vit competes for the second spot as this win brings them close to both FUT and FNATIC in the league, as well as proving that Team Vit is able to adapt to the opposition's map picks after dominating Karmine in Ascent.

FUT 2-0 KOI

FUT keeps impressing the entire region with outstanding performances, with their win over KOI, the Turkish team extends their odds of rivalling FNATIC for the title.

FNATIC 2-0 Team Liquid

FNATIC keeps on winning, and it doesn't look like the team wants to stop doing that. FNATIC sits at a comfortable 4-0 record and are at the top of the league.

After a rough starting of the league game, NAVI is back on track with this win over Team Liquid. This solidifies them as the dark horse of the competition, despite them being the best European team last season.
