These six agents have the highest pick rates in Valorant, and here's why.

As the roster expands, players have been captivated by the arrival of different agents, each wielding a unique set of abilities and playstyles. Every agent boasts a distinctive trait that sets them apart from each other, but some enjoy much greater attention for various reasons.

The popularity of an agent hinges on numerous factors and the change in their pick rates can be influenced by the current meta, their presence in the competitive scene, their carry potential, and the preferences of the players.

Now, if you're looking for a list of the most popular and most picked agents in Valorant? Then look no further as you've arrived in the right place.

Who are the most picked agents in Valorant Episode 7 Act 1

Take a look at the list of agents boasting the highest pick rates in the game for the month of July 2023 during the Valorant Episode 7 Act 1. The data comes from Tracker Network that provides valuable insights into player performance and statistics, leaderboards, and much more across a variety of games. This also includes the pick rate, win rate, average KD for each agent. Insights provided are based on the average data of players globally over the last two weeks, covering all ranks and regions.

Skye - 5.9% Pick Rate / 49.4% Win Rate

The first in our list is Skye, boasting an impressive 5.9% pick rate and with what she can offer, this is no longer surprising.

skye most picked agent in valorant

Skye is an initiator that is rather versatile and her team-oriented abilities make her a pivotal asset in any team comp. She has that set of abilities that can concuss, blind, flash, detect enemy presence, scout areas and she can even heal. Well, that’s a lot for an agent, no?

It comes as no surprise that Skye maintains a high pick rate in ranked matches, given her ability to significantly impact the outcome of matches. However, Skye’s popularity also extends beyond ranked games. In the previous VCT Tokyo Masters, Skye's prominence in pro play becomes apparent with the highest pick rate of 59%, according to vlr.gg. This increase in her pick rate can be attributed to the return of Split and Bind where her abilities prove most effective.

That said, if you're looking for a great initiator to play especially on maps like Split, Bind and Pearl, Skye can be a good option. Just don't blind your allies next time, yeah?

Raze - 7.1% Pick Rate / 49.9% Win Rate

Raze has been nerfed previously in Valorant patch 6.03, however she remained to be one of the most picked agents in the game with a 7.1% pick rate.

Riot has mentioned before that “Abilities don’t kill” but Raze mains beg to differ. If timed well, Raze can quickly eliminate opponents with just her Paint Shells and SShowstopper sometimes without even having to pull out her gun.

The surge in her pick rate is also a result of Bind’s return which features tight and confined areas, allowing her engage in close-quarter combats especially with a shotgun on her hands. If that’s not enough, Raze also has an unparalleled mobility that can bring her from one place to another without her enemies knowing with a skillful execution of her infamous double-satchel technique.

Overall, Raze stands as the go-to agent if you’re yearning to unleash your aggressive side,  with the high-risk, high-reward plays with her satchels or explosive abilities.

Sage - 8.2% Pick Rate / 50.22% Win Rate

Ever since the start of Valorant, Sage has consistently captured the attention of numerous players, thanks to her exceptional  abilities.

Though her presence in the professional scene may not be as prominent, her team-oriented abilities prove to be a game-changer in competitive matches. She has healing and resurrection abilities that give you another chance to redeem yourself after getting shot in the head.

In addition, the Chinese agent's popularity stems from how easy it is for players to learn her kit, making her one of Valorant's most beginner-friendly agents. Her wall and slow orb can be deployed without complicated mechanics and are a great defensive tool be it during defense, execute or post-plant situations.

Easy doesn’t mean boring though. You can also become creative by placing down a what most of us call as the Grim Wall allowing you to catch opponents off guard from unexpected angles.

Omen - 8.2% Pick Rate / 48.7% Win Rate

You can never go wrong when using Omen as a controller. His kit caters to any playstyle, which is why he’s the go-to controller for many with an 8.2% pick rate.

You can opt for an aggressive playstyle by abusing his blind-tp combo, one way smokes or be a passive one by letting your teammates benefit from your properly-placed smokes and blind. This agent also has the capability to carry out successful lurks that can net him important intel and even kills. This is mainly the reason why most players use Omen, other than the rest of the agents.

Omen may not be as easy as Sage, but he has earned his place as one of the most versatile agents in Valorant. He is an agent that is easy to pick up but hard to master.

Jett - 9.9% Pick Rate / 49.4% Win Rate

Jett instalockers, assemble!

jett most picked agent in valorant

Needless to say, Jett belongs to this list. In fact, she may have never left the lists of the top most picked agents in Valorant since the release. Despite getting hit by continuous nerf, Jett continues to reign with her high-impact playstyle. This is certainly true for both the ranked queue and pro play scene. In fact, in the last VCT Masters Tokyo, Jett was able to secure the highest average pick rate of 59% alongside Skye and Killjoy. Similarly, she placed second during the VCT Lock//In São Paulo with 60%.

Jett is a duelist with an insane mobility allowing her to engage fearlessly in aggressive duels, with a safety net in the form of Tailwind (E) if everything goes wrong. This also allows her to take space as a duelist for her team, also with the help of smokes that can conceal her location upon dashing in or to create one-way smokes on areas where enemies might be pushing from.

To top it off, Jett can take advantage of her ability to lift herself up through updraft to reach elevated spots for an off-angle. And if you're skilled at using the Marshal and Operator, then Jett is a must-pick for you due to her ability to quickly reposition.

Reyna - 11.3% Pick Rate / 50.1% Win Rate

Reyna stands out on the list with an impressive pick rate of 11.3%. But let's face it, this is hardly a surprise given the high number of players who instantly pick Reyna as soon as they enter the agent select.

Reyna most picked agent in valorant

Much like Jett, Reyna rewards players who delve into aggressive 1v1s while providing them a good means of escape through Dismiss (E), making no room for trades. However, unlike Jett, Reyna isn’t necessarily what pros needed in such tournaments. In the previous VCT Masters Tokyo, Reyna was only picked just once by Boostio (Evil Geniuses) against Fnatic on Bind. Meanwhile, only Emman from RRQ had chosen Reyna throughout the whole VCT Lock//In event.

Despite her limited presence in  the professional scene,  nothing can stop Reyna from dominating solo queue and ranked games in general, especially in low elo. Under the right hands, Reyna can become a 1v5 machine due to her ability to heal herself with devour, and disengage or reposition with dismiss. Overall, all of attention she’s getting comes from her being self-sufficient which ramps up her hard-carrying potential.

However, this is also the downside of her kit which explains her incredibly low pick rate in the pro scene. The only ability she has that can help her team is her blind. Other than that, the only contribution that Reyna can offer is making space for her team, carrying out high-impact plays and basically, just gunning down everyone.

One thing that also contributes to her popularity is you can use Reyna without having to deal with any complex mechanic. Her kit is, in fact, one of the most straightforward in the game, and the added advantage of her Leer (C) ability having zero chance of blinding allies makes her a hassle-free choice. This allows players to focus on their aim first, before learning abilities.
