On Monday, a shock announcement revealed that streaming platform Mixer would be ceasing operations and partnering instead with Facebook Gaming.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who signed a long-term deal to stream exclusively on Mixer last July, will reportedly be paid out his full $30m contract and become a Free Agent.
The question now is, where will Ninja go next? Despite leaving Twitch on bad terms, it seems a potential return could be on the cards. Fans noticed that the gaming superstar had updated his Twitch bio, which now reads “Ninja streams VALORANT and Fortnite”.
Not only does this suggest that he may be gearing up for what would be an insane comeback stream on Twitch, but also that Valorant is a key part of his future content plans. Ninja has been enjoying Riot’s new tactical shooter, and this seems like a commitment to keep playing.
I love my community and what we built together on Mixer. I have some decisions to make and will be thinking about you all as I make them.

This weekend, we will get to see just how much Valorant practice the former Halo professional has had. Ninja will be leading the aptly named “Team Ninja” at the T1 x NSG VALORANT Showdown.
In what will be North America’s first event of the Valorant Ignition Series, 16 teams will compete for a share of the $50,000 prize pool. With top streamers, pros and the 4 most talented rosters from open qualifiers, Ninja will certainly be put through his paces.
Whatever platform he chooses, it is quite possible that Ninja will mark his return with a live broadcast of this tournament. This would no doubt be a massive help in driving interest in the Valorant esports scene.
