Earlier in the week, Riot Games released details of the Valorant Ignition Series. This will essentially be the hub for Valorant esports in 2020, where Riot will partner with top organisations to provide regular tournaments all over the world.
T1 Entertainment & Sports and Nerd Street Gamers are coming together to host the debut Valorant Ignition Series event in NA, the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown.
Taking place from June 26-28, the competition will feature big names, aspiring talent, and a $50k prize pool.

Globally recognised esports brand T1 will be sponsoring the event, as well as fielding their own dangerous roster, headed up by former CS:GO sensation Braxton “Brax” Pierce. Nerd Street Gamers will make sure everything runs smoothly, as well as working with T1 on production.
Excitingly, four spots are available to teams who perform well during two open qualifiers. These are scheduled for June 20 and June 21 and anyone can play. If you think you’ve got what it takes and want the chance to compete against pros and streamers in the finals, you can register here.
This is shaping up to be a fantastic event and an interesting first look at top-tier Valorant competition in North America. The broadcast will include exclusive interviews with Riot and T1 as well as more to be revealed. Don’t miss it!
