Milio, the 163rd champion in League of Legends, will soon join the current champion roster in the Summoner's Rift.
In line with K'Sante's debut in the second half of 2022, the Ixtal Enchanter was first hinted at during Champions and Preseason 2023 | Lol Pls. From then, speculations and leaks regarding his character, background, looks, and skills have started to surface. But, as his debut draws closer, more details about this new champion are beginning to come to light.
Milio, the Gentle Flame was officially unveiled by Riot Games on March 4, 2023, along with a biography describing his life and affinity for fire, a collection of letters to his family, and the champion theme.
So what do we currently know about the Enchanter Support thus far?
What is League of Legends Milio’s Lore?
Milio is the next enchanter support after Renata Glasc and will be the first champion to be released this 2023 in League of Legends.
Hailing from Ixtal, Milio is an eager young man who embarks on a journey to Ixaocan in hopes of gaining redemption for his family.
A few generations ago, his grandmother, Luné and Lupé, treaded their path entwining earth and fire axioms in the attempt to overcome Vidalion’s Trial and become a part of Ixtal’s ruling caste. Yet after Luné was discovered conspiring against the Yun Tal, the sisters were swiftly punished.
Milio quickly mastered the art of weaving the fire axiom in his own ways, ignoring restrictions in traditional teachings. Rather than igniting scorching flames to burn villages to the ground, the twelve-year-old boy found another purpose to his axiom as he freed a hunter from anguish with his inner flame. A short while later, his energy gave life to an elemental entity he called as “Fuemigo”.
Albeit troubled, Lupé nurtures his abilities and his newly found axiom, “soothing fire” in preparation for his voyage. Milio finds all the courage he can muster for this daunting adventure out of love for his family. Alongside his trusty backpack, Furnasita, he is ready to take on one of the toughest trials of his young life.
What are League of Legends Milio's Abilities?
With a more straightforward kit, Milio does have a lot to offer to the table. Despite fire’s destructive nature, Milio, unlike Brand and Annie, has discovered a way to put it to good use.
The Ixtal Enchanter’s abilities revolve around utilizing his soothing fire to protect his allies by healing and shielding them. In addition to that, he is also capable of further increasing one’s attack range and boosting movement speed. Ultimately, he is an excellent counter against heavy crowd control team compositions, thanks to Breath of Life (R), applying AOE heal and cleanse to his team. He is indeed a great companion in the bottom lane, and with this, you'll no longer have to worry about getting perma-stunned.
Passive - Fired Up!
Milio’s abilities enchant allies on touch, making their next damage deal a burst of extra damage and burn target.
Q - Ultra Mega Fire Kick
Milio Kicks a back that knocks back an enemy. The ball launches upward on hit and falls toward the enemy, damaging and slowing enemies in the area upon impact.
W - Cozy Campire
Milio creates an empowering zone that heals allies and increases attack range to those inside. The zone follows the ally nearest to the cast point.
E - Warm Hugs
Milio tosses a shield to an ally, temporarily increasing their movement speed.
R - Breath of Life
Milio unleashes a wave of soothing flames that heal and remove crowd control effects from allies in range.
When is League of Legends Milio’s Release Date?
Milio, the Gentle Flame is expected to hit the live servers on March 22, 2023 during Patch 13.6. If you're a support main, or just any player who fancies his kit, be sure to prepare your blue essence.
