Nexus Blitz, a League of Legends Game Mode Accidentally Goes Live on Turkish Server

Nexus Blitz made an unanticipated appearance on one server today. Could this signify its return?

Turkish fans are surprised as one of League of Legends’ most beloved game modes became available on the TR server. However, it appears that this might just be a mistake.

According to a well-known Youtuber and LoL bug enthusiast, Vandiril, Nexus Blitz has been enabled today on the Turkish Server.

Players who were able to jump into the game mode were able to select their preferred lane, access the champion select phase, and even saw which event will occur first just like in the actual game mode.

Upon arriving on the map, players had the chance to pan the camera across its entire expanse, witness the Ionian Spirit Blossom Forest inside the Temple of Lily and Lotus map and move towards their lane. However, it did not take long before they got disconnected.

This appearance garnered enthusiastic reactions from players, leading some of them to speculate that Nexus Blitz could arrive sooner than expected. In a Riot dev blog titled “States of Game mode” released this February 2023, the devs also revealed that they will be dedicating time to get Nexus Blitz functional again prior to its release.

However, Riot’s Global Community Manager and Patch Notes Author, Riot Riru responded in a Reddit thread to shed light on its unexpected arrival. He mentioned that its sudden appearance is not intentional, and that they're actually preparing for the ARAM Clash that will commence this weekend on August 19-20.

Nexus Blitz is one of League of Legends' featured game modes alongside Arena, Ascension, Doom Bots and Ultra Rapid Fire (URF). It is a fast-paced game that will allow you to pick among three roles; Bot Lane, Jungle or Fill, before heading to a map with monsters and jungle camps scattered. What makes the game mode even more fun is the addition of events that appear two to three times randomly per game. Among these events is the Bardle Royale, where a circle of flames materializes and progressively contracts, inflicting true damage to players caught outside its boundaries. Additionally, the "Protect the Soraka" event summons a Soraka bot for each team, with victory hinging on the elimination of the opposing team's Soraka bot.

As of now, no news nor leaks regarding the potential comeback of Nexus Blitz have been made available. Furthermore, details are currently absent regarding the possibility of another game mode immediately following Arena, which is set to conclude on August 29, 2023.
