Armored Trucks Removed from Warzone Battle Royale Solo Mode

Raven's Creative Director, Amos Hodge, has shared some great news regarding a new balance adjustment in Call of Duty: Warzone!

Amidst the chaos of recent playlist adjustments, notably the removal of Trios for the new 'Scopes and Scatter Guns' playlist- Raven's Creative Director, Amos Hodge, has shared great news regarding a new balance adjustment in Call of Duty: Warzone!

Since the release of Warzone, just over a month ago, players have been concerned with the viability of vehicles in the Battle Royale mode. Many feel that the majority of the five vehicles are a little too powerful as they offer both defensive and offensive abilities. In the recent weeks, players have been begging Infinity Ward and Raven to make adjustments to the growing vehicle meta that is becoming more and more popular amongst players. Thankfully, Raven's Amos Hodge has answered these players' prayers with today's announcement of the Armored Truck being removed from the Solo Battle Royale playlist!

This announcement has been met with both praise and backlash. While a loud portion of the community feels that it was a necessary change, others feel that it's not enough and that more changes to vehicles will be needed to level the playing field. It's important to note, however, that it's very possible we'll see further changes in the near future as players experience this adjustment and the Studio gathers data and feedback from it.

Armored Truck availability isn't the only change that Amos and co. have planned. In reply to a request to adjust the price of the Loadout Drop - another controversial mechanic in Warzone - Amos states that the team is looking to adjust the earn rate of Cash depending on the total player count in a match. This isn't exactly the adjustments that players were hoping for, but it's sure to alleviate the pain of purchasing a Loadout Drop in Solo for the same price that it would be in Quads.

Despite the controversial topics, such as balance and playlist availability, Call of Duty: Warzone continues to thrive as new and returning players continue to experience the mode and new content that the Studios are periodically releasing. Activision recently announced that Warzone has reached 50 million registered players, a monumental achievement on its own. Check out the following article to see how this compares to its biggest rivals, Apex Legends and Fortnite.
