Warzone to Recieve All-New Battle Royale Map, Potential Points of Interest Leaked

Rumors suggest that an all-new Battle Royale map for Warzone will release alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard.

In March of 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone launched as a free-to-play Battle Royale experience based on the ever-popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Upon release, Warzone dropped players into Verdansk, a sprawling countryside with unique locations which included a metropolitan downtown, residential neighborhoods, and a looming dam. Since its release, Verdansk has seen various iterations, such as the destruction of its stadium, and more recently, the 80s revamp alongside the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

As Warzone leaves its one year anniversary in the dust, players have begun to express fatigue with the Verdansk map, with many wishing for a new battleground to dominate.

Rumors relating to the 2021 release by Sledgehammer Games, expected to be titled Call of Duty: Vanguard, are at an all-time high as Summer is underway and the wait for an official reveal grows longer. Reports from credible source VGC have stated that the title, set in WWII, will include a map created from the ground-up for the Battle Royale giant.

Although the rumors of a contemporary map to coincide with the release of Vanguard have been brought to light strictly by word of mouth, without tangible evidence, recent changes to the Warzone game files have revealed a plethora of new information.
