VCT Pacific WEEK 5: Recap, Scorelines and Standings

All the action you've missed from VCT Pacific WEEK 5

Week five of the VCT Pacific league saw some exciting matches and surprising upsets. Here's a recap of the fifth week of the competition.

RECAP

Paper Rex defeated Global Esports with a 2-1 score in the most recent VCT Pacific League matches. Although Paper Rex lost the first map on Icebox with a 13-7 score, PRX came back strong and won the next two maps, Split and Pearl, with 13-6 and 13-7 scores, respectively.

DRX also had an intense match against their rivals GenG, which DRX won 2-1 after a hard-fought battle. DRX won the first map, 13-7, but lost the second map, 13-10. However, DRX came back stronger and won the final map with an impressive 13-4 score, making them the league's only undefeated team so far.

T1 dominated Rex Regnum Qeon with a 2-0 scoreline. T1 won the first map with a score of 13-9 and then went on to secure a convincing win on the second map with a score of 13-4.

In another match, Team Secret defeated DetonationGaming with a 2-0 scoreline, leaving DetonationGaming winless in the league.

Lastly, Talon Esports secured their first win in the league after defeating Zeta Division with a 2-0 scoreline.

SCORELINES

TALON Esports 2-0 Zeta Division

Talon Esports' first win in the VCT Pacific league is critical because it boosts their team morale and confidence, providing them momentum to continue and showcase the potential that this team has shown in the first international event of the season, LOCK IN. With this important win, Talon Esports joins the leaderboard and leaves DFM as the single team without a win so far in the league.

Team Secret 2-0 DetonationGaming FocusMe

At this point, most teams are farming DFM, the Japanese all-star roster is finding it difficult to find their footing in the league, this loss further puts DFM on zero chance to make it to the next stage of the competition. However, with this win, Team Secret bounces back after a slump and looks to turn their fortunes.

T1 2-0 RRQ

T1 sends a message to the other teams in the league after stomping the emerging team Rex Regnum Qeon. T1 suffered some unexpected losses at recent times, however, this game looks to be the turning point for them as the team wants to prove their potential and showcase their skills.

DRX 2-1 GenG

DRX faced off their regional rivals GenG in a clash of titans, however, DRX came on top and defeated GenG. With that win, DRX silenced all the doubters and cemented their names as the region's best, as the all-star Korean roster remains undefeated five weeks into the league.

PRX 2-1 Global Esports

Paper Rex is climbing the ranks, promising to showcase prime Paper Rex. With this important win, Paper Rex is the closest team to the second place and the first place if GenG or DRX slips in the league.
