Valorant: Disguised Toast Set To Lose $1 Million This Year

Disguised Toast, the popular Twitch streamer and content creator, is facing a huge financial loss after investing in his own Valorant esports team. According to his own tweets, he has spent over $500,000 on salaries, equipment, and coaching for his team, Disguised (DSG), which he formed in January 2023.

However, his Valorant venture has not been successful so far. DSG has failed to qualify for any major tournaments in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), the official circuit for the game. The team has only managed to reach the Challengers stage twice, finishing 8th and 12th, respectively. DSG has also struggled to compete against established teams such as TSM, M80, and TT.

Disguised Toast has admitted that he is losing money on his Valorant team and that he has been taking on more sponsored deals to keep DSG alive. In a tweet on May 29, he revealed that he had just spoken to his accountant and found out that he was spending twice as much as he expected for DSG. He also joked that he was going to lose $1 million this year.

Despite the poor results and financial difficulties, Disguised Toast has not given up on his Valorant dream. He has expressed his passion for the game and his support for his players on several occasions. He has also stated that he wants to bring some excitement and entertainment to the Valorant scene, which he believes is lacking personality and drama.

Disguised Toast is not the only content creator who has ventured into Valorant esports. Other streamers such as MrBeast, Ludwig, xQc, and Pokimane have also shown interest in forming or sponsoring Valorant teams. However, none of them have committed as much as Disguised Toast, who has put his own money and reputation on the line.
