VALORANT Agent Waylay: All You Need to Know

Riot Games has revealed Waylay, Valorant's eighth Duelist. Waylay, hailing from Thailand, uses light and energies to power up her abilities, and she is built to be more of an obstructor and provide space for her teammates. Waylay also introduces a new debuff to the game, known as "Hindering" that she inflicts on enemies. Here's all we know about Waylay so far.

Valorant Agent Waylay Abilities

Refract

Activate to instantly create a beacon of light on the floor. Reactivate to speed back to the beacon spot as a mote of pure light. You are invulnerable as you travel back.

Light Speed

Equip Light Speed to prepare for a burst of speed. Fire to dash forward twice. You can Alt Fire to dash just once. Only the first dash lets you go in the upward direction.

Saturate

Activate to instantly throw a cluster of light that explodes upon coming in contact with the ground. Affected enemies deal with the Hindering debuff, which slows movement and limits weapons.

Convergent Paths (Ultimate)

Equip to focus Waylay’s prismatic power. Fire to create an afterimage that projects a beam of light. After a brief delay, the beam expands, applying the Hindering debuff to players caught in its radius. You also gain a powerful speed boost after the delay.

New Hindering Debuff

The new Hindering debuff slows the following:

• Fire Rate
• Recoil Recovery
• Equip Time
• Reload Speed
• Movement Speed
• Jump Speed

Valorant Agent Waylay Release Date

Riot Games confirmed that Waylay will be added to Valorant on March 5, 2025, as part of the Valorant Season 2025: Act 2 update. Players can unlock her right away for 1,000 VP or earn her through Agent Recruitment Event by amassing 200,000 XP. After the event, Waylay will be available for 8,000 Kingdom Credits.
