The biggest event of the concurrent VALORANT esports season is set to start in a few hours. VALORANT Champions will feature sixteen teams from all around the world, locking horns for three weeks. And with the teams competing for the title of the best, here's our list of the best players to be looking out for!
Demon1

Evil Geniuses' sudden and recent success can be attributed to multiple reasons, but the main reason would be Demon1. The insane Jett one-trick became Evil Geniuses' secret weapon, making in the flashiest highlights of each tournament he participated in, and helping Evil Geniuses reap more titles. And if that was just his performance in VCT Americas and VCT Masters, imagine how he will do in the biggest event of the season? Be sure to watch all of Evil Geniuses' games during this event!
Derke

It feels like Derke never gets enough credits. Derke has been delivering consistent performances for dozens of events, and there's a reason that FNATIC's entire strategic approach is "Derke, go kill!". And with FNATIC securing Masters, Derke might just be the reason FNATIC reap Champions as well. For those who like a consistent and methodological approach to VALORANT, be sure to watch Derke and FNATIC.
Something

Just like Evil Geniuses, Paper Rex had a rough patch in VCT Pacific, but ever since the team put in Something, a flip switched and the team became insane once again. We did not get to see him perform in VCT Masters due to VISA issues, but now that has been resolved, Something has something to prove! Be on the lookout for this insane frag machine.
Laz

Might not be a Jett one-trick, might not have the flashiest highlights, but Laz led Zeta Division to Champions after a masterclass in VCT Pacific Last Chance Qualifier. For those who want to learn Sova or Chamber, watch Laz deliver another masterclass in VCT Champions and help Zeta Division complete their redemption arc.
Zmjjkk

Edward Gaming's Zmjjkk has been smurfing in Los Angeles, obliterating NA's best in ranked and sending a message to the rest. And although Chinese VALORANT teams did not find much success to date, Zmjkk has been delivering insane performances in all events. For those who want to see Zmjjkk's operator shots and funniest reactions to rounds, be sure to watch Edward Gaming.
