European esports organization Team Liquid, who compete in the VCT EMEA league, have managed to get their third win of the split after defeating Team Heretics 2-0.
The first map of the matchup was Split. Team Liquid played extremely well in the first half, winning ten out of twelve rounds to go up with a score of 10-2 at halftime. Things looked shakier for them in the second half, with Team Heretics nearly making a comeback. However, Team Liquid only needed three more rounds to win the map and they eventually got that. The final score of the game was 13-8.
The second map, Fracture, was an extremely close one. Team Liquid won most of the rounds in the first half, to go up with a score of 7-5 at halftime. The second half was extremely close, with each team trading back and forth rounds. The game ended up going into overtime, after Team Heretics were down 10-12 and won the last two rounds to force it. In overtime, Team Liquid started off strong, winning the opening round. They were now up 13-12. Team Heretics then won the next one, tying the game at 13-13. This kept on going on until the score was 15-15. Team Liquid then surged ahead and won the next two, winning the game with a final score of 17-15.
Leading Team Liquid was nAts, who had an impressive KDA of 53-32-9 through both maps, as well as an ACS of 281 and an ADR of 184. Great stuff from the Sentinel player.
