LOUD vs. NRG: A historic game in VCT LOCK//IN

Overtime galore! The game was the most iconic game of VCT history.

DAY 6 of VCT LOCK//IN tournament in São Paulo hosted the most intense game of all time, VALORANT Esports fans worldwide claim on social media.

NRG Esports, the remaining North American representative of Alpha Group, faced the popular Brazilian representative, LOUD.

The two teams go far back in time, NRG Esports features of OpTic Gaming's core and LOUD features of last season's LOUD core as well. The two teams from different regions have met more than you'd expect on the international stage, a total of 6 times, turning into 7 times as we witnessed the two giants battle it out in DAY 6 of VCT LOCK//IN.

“It’s definitely been quite a show playing against them every time, so I think there is definitely a bit of a rivalry there.” - Pujan "FNS" Mehta

Map 1

Split was a short game, LOUD made a statement in NRG Esports' own map-pick, dominating the show and closing the game in a comfortable 13-3 scoreline.

Map 2

Pearl was the map where the show started, the two giants battling it out, fans screaming and supporting their respective teams.

The first half was a close half, NRG ending it with a little bit of advantage over LOUD, however, the second half proved to be LOUD's time to shine, dragging it into overtime.

The back and forth started from here, sometime in NRG's favor, sometime in LOUD's favor.

But the Brazilian representative's own map-pick ended in favor of NRG Esports, dragging the series to the third map, Fracture!

Map 3

Fracture was the map where it all went down. The VCT rivals going at it, the winner sending the loser home.

The first half of Fracture ended in LOUD's favor, ending in a close scoreline, 7-5.

The second half of Fracture was a continuation of LOUD's absolute masterpiece of a map, dominating the North American team NRG Esports and scoring a massive rounds difference, closing in to sending NRG Esports home.

However, this wouldn't be the best VALORANT Champions Tour rivalry if the game didn't go the extra mile.

NRG Esports had something to prove, and so NRG started to steadily score rounds, closing in the gap between them and LOUD.

NRG Esports managed to take LOUD to overtime in a showcase of strength and resilience.

But one overtime wasn't enough, it kept going, and going and going... The two giants, absolutely, making a show!

But no matter how many rounds a game can go, the series had to end and LOUD closed the show, winning the series, securing playoff and sending their rivals back home!
