Following the success of the recent 100 Thieves Invitational, ESPN Esports have announced that they will be hosting their own Valorant tournament. Adding a unique twist to proceedings, each team taking part will be formed of representatives from a popular game title.
There will be eight teams in total, pros from CS:GO, Fortnite, LoL, PUBG, Rainbow Six, Apex Legends and Overwatch, will take up seven spaces, with the last spot being taken by the Valorant Devs. At time of writing, the individual participants are yet to be revealed. But with so many Esports covered, there are bound to be some people you know.

You might think that with their years of experience playing shooters, the CS:GO team are the outright favorites, but don’t be so sure. The Valorant devs have already proved that their superior knowledge of the maps and Agents abilities is deadly. They destroyed a team featuring FPS royalty Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar and Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek in a recent showmatch.
Perhaps now that everyone has had some time to grind the closed beta, they will be better suited to counter the dev teams strategies. Regardless, the action will take place over three days from April 20 to 22, with coverage starting at 2:30PM CT every day on the ESPN Twitch channel.
