Following the signing of former Optic superstar Jaccob "Yay" Whiteaker, and the release of both Damion "XXiF" Cook and Drake "Exalt" Branly earlier this month, DSG VALORANT team was in need of a last pickup to round up their challengers roster. It was announced that DSG will be fielding Michael "Nerve" Yerrow as the final piece of the puzzle.
Nerve was reported to be trialling for the partnered North American all-star team Cloud9, however, the organization decided against it last second and Nerve was left out. DSG joked about this, stating that DSG's entire strategic plan is to pick up the talents that Cloud9 leaves out.
The second split of NA Challengers starts on April. 18.
