Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Listed on Korean Ratings Board

A new listing for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered' has appeared on the Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC), a South Korean video game content rating board. Despite the wishes of many players, this title, and previous rumors, do suggest that the pinnacle Call of Duty title will be returning without a Multiplayer mode.

In March of 2018, a listing for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered' appeared on Amazon Italy from Activision Blizzard.  When the original price of €19.99 was converted to USD, it amounted to approximately $25 - even less than the $40 price of 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered' which released in 2017 alongside 'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare'.

While the Amazon Italy listing did not specify that the title would be Campaign-only, its halved price tag compared to the fully-featured Modern Warfare Remastered indicates that this is indeed the case.

Soon after its arrival, the Amazon Italy listing was removed, without comment from Activision Blizzard. Within the following days, CharlieINTEL, Kotaku's Jason Schreier, and Eurogamer, three well-respected sources in the gaming community, individually reported that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will in-fact only feature a Campaign mode and will not be developed by Raven Software.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is only of the best-selling Multiplayer games of all-time and is often regarded as the best classic Call of Duty experience. Fans of the series have been begging for a remaster of the 2009 title for many years, but the news of a Campaign-only re-release is sure to upset those who were hoping for more.

The most-anticipated game of the year and the sequel to the best-selling first-person action game of all time, Modern Warfare 2 continues the gripping and heart-racing action as players face off against a new threat dedicated to bringing the world to the brink of collapse.
