How to Unlock Obsidian Camo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Within the April 28th game update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, Infinity Ward has added an all-new mastery camo for every Weapon in the game! Intended to be an alternative to Damascus, the current and poorly-received mastery camo, Obsidian gives players new content to grind for with an alternative take on what an ultimate camo should look like.

First Look

Here's our first look at what the Obsidian Camo looks like! In the following screenshot is the Kilo-141 Assault Rifle equipped with various attachments and the all-new mastery camo.

It's important to note that this is not an in-game view, which is currently not available at the time of writing. The drastic change in lighting, depending on the map, will definitely change the way this camo looks.

How to Unlock

Obsidian Camo is unlocked on a per-weapon basis, this means that you can earn it on one weapon - or all weapons! While you do not need to unlock Damascus Camo to obtain the new mastery camo, you will need to have unlocked Gold Camo for your weapon of choice.

Once this requirement is met, you will receive one of two Challenges to unlock Obsidian Camo, depending on the Weapon that you've chosen. The amounts required for these Challenges (X in the following list) will also vary on a per-weapon basis.

• Kill 15 enemies in a match X times
• Kill 10 enemies in a match X times
• Kill 5 enemies in a match X times
• Destroy a Vehicle or Killstreak X times

Unfortunately for those of you Warzone players, Obsidian Camo is not obtainable in the Battle Royale mode at this time; You will need access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Multiplayer mode!
