With the launch excitement of Modern Warfare Season 2 dying down, interest has suddenly peaked once again as what appears to be promotional art for a title named Call of Duty: Warzone has leaked online from an anonymous source.
The asset appears to be based on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with characters such as Ghost being prominent in the art, as well as the background of the map being the Tavorsk District from Modern Warfare's Spec Ops and Ground War modes. The most interesting part about this, however, is that the logo for this title is for "Warzone", which until now was an unheard of title.
For the last several months, even prior to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - a Battle Royale mode has been rumored to release alongside Modern Warfare. Until this point, these have been rumors from both unsubstantiated sources as well as in-game assets that were found via the PC build of the game.
The current belief is that a standalone, free to play Battle Royale title based on Modern Warfare will be released at some point in 2020; But this has yet to be confirmed.

We do want to note, however, that Activision nor Infinity Ward have yet to officially confirm the existence of a Battle Royale mode in Modern Warfare or a standalone Battle Royale title. At the time of writing, Modern Warfare Battle Royale and Call of Duty Warzone are nothing more than well-established rumors.
