Who was the best Fortnite Player in 2024?

Peterbot dominated 2024 Fortnite Esports, securing massive prize money, multiple tournament wins, and unforgettable moments, including second place at the Esports World Cup and FNCS Global Championship.

As is our tradition every year, we dive into the hottest topic of the moment. Fortnite continues to be a competitive scene full of unforgettable stories and emotions, with players constantly making waves in the community. But beyond the familiar faces, 2024 has introduced some exciting new talent.

Throughout the year, we've seen some massive events, including the FNCS Majors 1, 2 and 3 across all regions, and the grand finale, the FNCS Global Championship 2024, at the end of the year. And let's not forget the return of the Esports World Cup, where new organisations like Karmine Corp and Heroic stepped up to the plate, but ultimately it was Clix and his XSET team who took home the crown.

However, when it comes to the standout players of 2024, two names echo louder than the rest: Peterbot and Pollo. These two dominated the year, raking in an impressive $542,429 and $426,200 respectively. Let's take a closer look at their journey and the milestones they reached along the way.

It all started with the FNCS Major 1, where Peterbot and Pollo finished an incredible second place. This was the only tournament where anyone really gave them a run for the win, with Acorn and Cold taking the crown and proving that they could be a serious challenge. But heading into FNCS Major 2, it was clear that Peterbot and Pollo were on a different level. They stormed through the tournament to take first place, a whopping 300 points clear of the runners-up.

Between FNCS Major 2 and Major 3, it was time for the qualifiers for the Esports World Cup at DreamHack Dallas 2024. Peterbot, representing Agent Esports alongside teammates Okis, Meelks, and Kwanti, led the charge. The team made it to the finals, but in a 3-1 upset, they fell to Team Falcons, settling for second place. But this setback only fueled their fire.

Fast forward to FNCS Major 3, the last chance for players to secure their spot in the FNCS Global Championship. By this time, Peterbot and Pollo had already double-qualified, but they were determined to show that they weren’t stopping anytime soon. Once again, they claimed victory, finishing with a dominant 80-point lead over second place.

Then came the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, the tournament everyone had been waiting for. With a prize pool of over $1 million, the stakes were high, and the competition was fierce. Representing Exceed, Peterbot dominated Group B, winning every match. The team avenged their earlier defeat to Team Falcons with a 4-1 victory, took down Karmine Corp 4-2, and moved on to the grand finals against XSET. Unfortunately, they came up short once again, finishing in second place.

But the year wasn’t over. The FNCS Global Championship was just around the corner, and with it came another opportunity for Peterbot and Pollo to shine. And shine they did, delivering one clutch after another, proving once again why Peterbot is one of the best Fortnite players of all time. The duo took home the title, wrapping up an almost perfect year.

2024 was a year of dominance for Peterbot and Pollo, and their legacy in Fortnite’s competitive scene continues to grow. What a ride it’s been, and with these two at the helm, it’s clear that Fortnite Esports has an exciting future ahead.
