As announced at the FNCS Global Championship 2024, Siphon is returning to Fortnite with Siphon Trials. This will test different versions of Siphon across Ranked Battle Royale, Ranked Zero Build, and tournaments.
Siphon is a mechanic in Fortnite that grants players health and shield when they eliminate opponents. It was a key feature in competitive tournaments and Arena mode for a long time before Epic unexpectedly removed it in May 2023. Since then, competitive players have been actively campaigning for its return. Now, one year and four months later, Siphon is finally back.

It’s been over a year since Siphon was last enabled, and they want to explore new versions for future tournaments, rather than sticking to the old settings. That’s where the trials come in!
Each week, they'll change the Siphon settings to see what works best. Here’s the current schedule:
- Week 1 (starts today): 40 Effective Health
- Week 2 (starts Oct 1): 50 Effective Health
- Week 3 (starts Oct 8): 25 Effective Health
- Week 4 (starts Oct 15): 75 Health Over Time (No Shield)
- Week 5 (starts Oct 22): 50 Health (No Shield)
- Week 6 (starts Oct 29): 25 Health, 25 Shield
Epic will be listening closely to feedback and may adjust the schedule!
