The DreamHack San Diego Fortnite event has come and gone, and it was an unforgettable experience for all those involved. From the players to the fans, everyone was hyped up and ready to show off their skills and support their favorite players and organizations.
The Fortnite tournament was the main event of the weekend, and it did not disappoint. There were many highlights throughout the tournament, but the biggest surprise came from the underdogs who managed to rise to the top.
In addition to the $250,000 at stake, players who manage to place in the top 10 qualify for Gamers8. Players qualified for the finals through four heats. Now, let's take a closer look at the heats to better understand!
The Heat 1 was equally exciting, with two pro player from Europe, Queasy and Veno, taking home the win. They were undoubtedly among the teams from whom more was expected, and they were able to maintain their standards!

Heat 2 was an exciting one, with Dukez and Edgey taking home the victory. But what really stood out was the number of lesser-known players who managed to qualify, including two talented players from Oceania - Alex and Suns. These young guns would go on to secure their spot in Gamers8, representing their region with pride and passion.
