Superman Arrives in Fortnite: Powers, Hero Upgrades, and Battle Pass Rewards!

Superman is arriving to lead the charge in Chapter 6 Season 3: Super, and starting July 11, you’ll have the chance to fly, fight, and save the Island like never before.

How To Become Superman

Starting July 11 at 9 AM ET, a powerful Superman’s Call crystal will randomly spawn in Battle Royale and Zero Build matches. The first player to collect it gains Superman’s abilities:

• Flight
• Heat Vision (destroys structures)
• Super Strength

Get taken out while powered up? You’ll revert to your normal self and rift back into the game.

Take Refuge!

Launching July 15, Superman’s Fortress of Solitude will appear on the Island—a frozen stronghold where the hero himself offers services in exchange for Bars. It’s your superhero home base, straight from the Arctic.

New Academy Tech

Academy Tech Labs are expanding across the Island with new inventions:

• Unstable Bounce Grenade: Bounces and explodes with each hit
• Unstable Thunderclap DMR: Fires an explosive round every third shot

The new Surging Speed Boon, available from Chests or Academy Tech Labs, boosts your sprint speed and lowers your Energy usage. The higher your Hero Rank, the less Energy it takes to run. Hit Rank S, and you’ll be blazing across the map in no time.

Unlock the Superman Skin!

Starting July 11, owners of the Super Battle Pass can unlock the Superman Outfit by earning 12 Account Levels.

By reaching other Account Level goals, you can unlock matching accessories like the Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, Super Save Emote, and more. Keep meeting the goals to unlock Superman’s comic book-inspired (Pen & Ink) Style designed by Jim Lee!
