Fortnite fans could soon be experiencing the hit Battle Royale game from a whole new perspective.
The recent launch of Chapter 3 Season 3 brought a wealth of exciting new content to the Fortnite Island. This included weapon changes, the addition of a unique biome, and even a feature that allows players to grow and harvest Mythic loot from a Reality Sapling.
Despite all this, Epic is, as always, multiple steps ahead. They’re already working on a number of fun future updates, and dataminers have got the inside scoop.
Motorcycles
First up, a brand-new vehicle is under construction! According to popular leaker @HYPEX, motorcycles could be on the way shortly.
UPCOMING MOTORCYCLE VEHICLE 🔥

Epic began working on motorcycles recently which use the same animations as riding animals. It has 2 seats + you can boost & drift. Epic also added summer surfboards back but we don't know if it's for BR or Creative! pic.twitter.com/0uxl8fWgRk
They will reportedly use the same animations as riding animals, another fresh mechanic for Season 3. Hypex added that motorcycles will have two seats, as well as boost and drift abilities.
These could be an interesting alternative to cars for rotations. You would likely be sacrificing protection for increased speed and handling.
The Tweet also mentioned that Summer Surfboards have been added back but it’s not yet clear whether they will be in Battle Royale or just limited to Creative.
First-person mode
Now for the big news! In another post, @HYPEX confirmed that Epic is “working on some stuff about first person camera mode”.
FIRST PERSON CAMERA IN FORTNITE 🔥

This update Epic began working on some stuff about first person camera mode but there's no other info about it at the moment as it looks like it's still in early development. Would work REALLY well for the Zero Build Modes 👀 pic.twitter.com/PIRRmdLyp0
He attached an image showing how this could look, but said it appears to be in early development so there is no other information available yet. That means we probably won’t see it in-game for a long time, though it’s definitely still cool to think about.
Epic has sort of lightly experimented with this already in Chapter 3, with the arrival of scoped weapons like the MK-Seven that go into first-person when you aim down sights.
It will be intriguing to find out how they incorporate first-person mode on a larger scale. Could there be items or map locations that temporarily alter your perspective? Or perhaps a whole new game mode?
There’s no clear timescale for either motorcycles or first-person mode, so for now we can focus on enjoying Fortnite Season 3. However, it’s always great to know that plenty more content is coming our way!
