Today we have the chance to chat with Gerard; thank you for being here!

DreamHack Anaheim was your first LAN event; what was it like to attend it and meet all the players?

"When dreamhack anaheim was announced I had a total of 400 followers on twitter and had 600 dollars earned. This was the first event that I knew I could make a name for myself. I was nervous of course but also extremely hyped since I knew I could do good. Attending the event was honestly insane something I will remember for ever seeing all these professionals at the time. The atmosphere was insane. Meeting some of my online friends was even crazier.  After the breakout event interacting with everybody was insane"

More than two years later, are you happy with what you got from that event?

"100%,  regardless of what im doing I always think about that weekend. All the "Clout" I got was cool but the experience is even cooler for me. Truly showed me my love for competing and whenever lans are announced it motivates me to grind cause of the emotions you feel in a lan setting. Dreamhack anaheim also showed my parents the possible longetivity I can have in fortnite"

Sparebow achieved the first major result of his career in November 2020, placing third at the Nick Eh 30 cup, taking home $1500.

In the following months, he consistently placed in several tournaments, boasting a top 4 at the FNCS qualifiers, a top 3 and 7 at the cash cups, a top 20 at the DreamHack Open April, and a top 18 at the DreamHack Open August.

All these results added to Gerard's continuity on social media and got him noticed by several organizations. So much so that in October 2021, he announced his joining Team Kungarna, with which he will remain until August 2022.

During his time representing Kungarna, Sparebow brought a series of decent results, even managing to qualify for the DreamHack Summer 2022 in Sweden, taking home only $300 and a top 72..

To date, Gerard is one of the best-known players in the community, mainly because of his desire to grind. Will he finally win his first tournament soon? We wish him so. I thank Gerard for participating and ask you to follow him on all social media.
