The Argentinian Fortnite Superstar K1ng, with 5 FNCS Titles and over $1 million in earnings, has recently been involved in a controversy that led to his account being deactivated.
According to Thiago, on January 21, he noticed that his account had been disconnected. He initially thought that was an internet problem and after verifying it he realized his account had been deactivated without prior notice. He then decided to contact Fortnite’s managers in Brazil, who replied that they couldn’t give information due to “confidential reasons.

A few days later, Thiago managed to arrange a call with a competitive manager from Epic Games. During this call, it was revealed that the reason for the deactivation was related to “account sharing”, an accusation that K1ng denied. He said that due to his frequent travels, he had used different PCs and internet connections, which could have triggered false security alerts.
Thiago also pointed out that although receiving a security warning about his credentials in June 2024, he was never informed that such a warning would lead to account deactivation. The manager confirmed that the allegations pertained to account sharing but declined to provide additional details or evidence, denying him the opportunity to appeal the decision.
K1ng stated that there is no evidence to support the claim of account sharing, and also offered to review all login sessions to demonstrate his innocence.

The situation seriously threatens K1ng’s future, not only as a player, but also as a reference figure in the competitive Fortnite scene.
