With the latest Fortnite Chapter 3 update, Epic has decided to make some changes to the item shop, ensuring that the chance of buying something by mistake becomes minimal.
How do you purchase skins now?
One of the first changes I will list in this article is inherent to the way of purchase. Anyone, even randomly, can press a button and purchase a hang glider, a skin, or a pickaxe, which is precisely why the developers decided that to buy an item in the shop, you have to hold down a specific button for a few seconds to complete the transition. In this way, the user is 100% aware of the transition.
How do Fortnite refunds work?
As you already know, Epic games have made available 'Return Tickets' (3 uses per year) and the option to 'cancel a purchase,' the latter of which gives users who have not yet left the product page the chance to cancel their order. The developers have now added a new system, namely the possibility of requesting a refund up to twenty-four hours after the purchase, provided that none of the purchased items are used in the game. In addition, it will be possible to receive a notification when the player tries to use the purchased items that informs the player that proceeding with that action will result in losing the possibility of a refund.

Last but not least, an option has been added to decide whether or not to save the payment method, thus making purchases more secure.
