Fortnite’s 8th Birthday: Free Rewards, Quests & Cake Locations

Epic Games is gearing up for Fortnite’s 8th anniversary celebration, introducing limited-time quests, themed cosmetics, and festive map elements designed to celebrate the milestone.

What’s New in the 8th Birthday Event

This year’s celebration features a mix of returning favorites and brand-new additions:

• Birthday cakes placed across the island at major POIs
• Balloons and throwable birthday presents
• Cake heals and other party-themed items unvaulted
• Firework flare gun with a redesigned look
• New Birthday Medallion, which grants a present every time you score an elimination

Free Rewards & How to Earn Them

Instead of simply finishing quests, rewards are tied to leveling up your account during the event period. Each reward is unlocked after hitting specific profile level thresholds:

• Level up 2 times: “You’re 8” Spray
• Level up 4 times: 8th Anniversary Pickaxe
• Level up 6 times: Slurpfinity Cake Back Bling

Birthday quests help provide the XP needed to reach these milestones quickly.

The Birthday Quests

To make progress, you can complete themed challenges:

• Wish the Bus Driver a happy birthday
• Search 8 containers before damaging a player
• Dance by a birthday cake at named locations
• Throw birthday presents (3 total)
• Ascend 80 meters using balloons
• Eat 8 slices of birthday cake at POIs
• Emote in multiple matches
• Land from the Battle Bus in different matches
