This week’s Fortnite update brings back Crash Pads, but it’s not what everyone was expecting.
A new hotfix has gone live with fresh content for Fortnite fans to enjoy. This follows the recent Fortnitemares 2022 patch and the Halloween event is still running.
Here’s what to look out for:

Crash Pads unvaulted
These guys have been bouncing in and out of the vault a lot recently. Crash Pads are once again available in Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists, as confirmed by @HYPEX.
Find them on the ground, in Chests and Supply Drops. Throw down a Crash Pad to take high ground, perform a daring escape, or even fly straight into someone’s box!
When are planes coming back to Fortnite?
Many leakers had predicted that the controversial X-4 Stormwing planes would be returning in this update. This was based on some Week 6 Seasonal Quests that involved using a plane.
However, the Stormwing is nowhere to be seen and the Quests have been switched out. This suggests that they won’t be back for a while – this will be disappointing news for a lot of players.

What’s next?
The v22.30 update has been scheduled for next week, on Tuesday, November 1. We don’t yet know exactly what this update will include, but it will mark the end of Fortnitemares 2022.
This is also the end date for the Fortnitemares Escape Rooms Quests. So, be sure to complete any remaining tasks before then if you want to unlock the Niterave Wrap.
Additionally, the Fortnite Saint Academy Quest Pack and Vivica Saint skin are now available in the Item Shop. You can earn up to 1,000 V-Bucks by working through all of the Quests!
