Fortnite C3:S1 Console Champions Cup coming soon: Dates, format & $250k prize pool

Find a partner and fight for the crown of best console Fortnite Duo this March!

With the first FNCS qualifiers just days away, competitive Fortnite is in full swing for Chapter 3 Season 1. However, there’s also another big tournament on the horizon.

Though it’s yet to be officially announced by Epic, details of the upcoming Console Champions Cup have appeared in-game. Similar to previous seasons, the event provides an opportunity for those playing Fortnite on less powerful devices to experience the thrill of competition.

Here’s what you need to know:

Schedule

The Console Champions Cup will take place on March 18 and 19, with one session on the Friday and two on the Saturday. It will be open to players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Android.

Format

This is a Duos Cup, occurring across three rounds. As usual, points are earned for both eliminations and placement, and kills are worth a little bit more in the third “custom lobby” round.

Entry Requirements

Aside from being on an eligible platform, you will also likely need to rank in Champions Division in Arena to take part. Additionally, you must have Two-Factor Authentication enabled on your Epic Account.
