Fortnite 36.20 Now Live: 4 More Weeks of Blitz, Superman & More

Superman’s buffed arrival, new Fortress of Solitude POI, explosive Blitz Royale roadmap, and the upcoming OG Rocket Event combine in Fortnite’s 36.20 update.

Today’s drop is packed with freebies, mode updates, and live event launches—here’s everything you need to know to stay ahead on the Island.

Battle Royale Updates

The Fortress of Solitude POI has landed on the Island—trade Bars for high‑end gear, shield recharges and surprise loot drops straight from the Arctic hideaway. Beyond the new hideout, several exotics are now obtainable.

Superman’s kit has also been buffed:

  • Flight Duration: 4:30 > 5:30
  • Heat Vision DPS: 70 > 120
  • Siphon Recovery Window: 10s > 45s
  • Health (Solos/Duos/Trios/Squads):
    • 1,400 > 1,900
    • 1,600 > 2,100
    • 1,900 > 2,500
    • 2,200 > 3,000

Blitz Updates & Extension

Logging in between July 15 and 29 still nets you the free Blitz Royale pickaxe—no challenges required.

The current “Boon Bonanza” week ramps up the action by adding more Boons than ever before. These game-changing power-ups now appear more often and offer a wider range of effects, giving players new ways to boost speed, combat power, and mobility throughout each match.

The month’s Blitz Royale event arc continues to evolve each week, bringing new twists, locations, and challenges to keep players on their toes:

  • Week 6 (Jul 22): Envision the Void — unstable Void zones warp the map
  • Week 7 (Jul 29): Mega City Returns — neon streets and skyscraper skirmishes
  • Week 8 (Aug 5): Blitz Boss Rises — face down the ultimate event boss

Close Encounters Returns!

Close Encounters is back and plays just like the original. It’s all about jetpacks, hovercrafts, and shotgun fights. You’ll be flying around and fighting at close range with fast storms and short matches. Great for quick games and fast action.

OG Rocket Event (Coming Soon)

The OG Rocket Event is scheduled for July 26 at 2 PM ET. Players will be able to head to the original launch pad to watch the rocket take off live, just like the classic Chapter 1 event. The countdown, sound effects, and visuals will all match the original launch, giving longtime players a real throwback moment.
