Hatsune Miku, Godzilla, Demon Slayer, and more updates!

In today's 33.20 Fortnite update, we got massive changed for the map, bosses, items, weapons, and more.

Battle Royale Changes

The Battle Royale map has changed significantly, finally melting the snow from Winterfest 2024.

With this melting of snow, we get our first look at 2 new POIs. The first being Shattered Span, formerly Shining Span. Secondly, we have a new poi in the bottom right of the map, called Kappa Kappa Pickle Factory. Additionally, you can now seen the locations of Earth Sprites on the map, marked with symbols.

As of new items, we have leaks of the beloved Recon Scanner, and possibly the grapple knife, shield keg, and quad launcher, returning soon; the shield buddle and the Rail Gun were unvaulted today. Presents have been vaulted.

Shhh! A secret vault has been added under Flooded Frogs, needing a Void Oni mask to teleport into. This spot contains numerous rare chests and elemental chests.

Fortnite Festival

Fortnite Festival Season 7 just started today! Unlock a Hatsune Miku Outfit, Instruments, and more in the Music Pass, which is now a single track of both free and premium rewards (matching the other Passes in Fortnite). You’ll still unlock free rewards by earning XP in any Fortnite experience, and purchasing the Music Pass will enable you to unlock premium rewards the same way as you do free rewards. You can purchase the Music Pass for 1,400 V-Bucks or get it through Fortnite Crew!

Cosmetic Updates

HYPEX has just datamined the following models for the OG Renegade Raider and Ariel Assault Trooper skins. Players that had these skins prior to their recent item shop appearance, should be receive these styles now.

On the note of cosmetics, with the release of the new Fortnite Festival season, some instruments are now usable was pickaxes and backblings.

Godzilla!

On January 17, groundbreaking changes are coming to the gameplay. Stay alert, because a strange rift might appear. Make sure you're the first person to cross it... or get ready for a challenging fight!

Firstly, a Godzilla Transformation Mythic has leaked. It’s thought you can turn into Godzilla and use its “Beam, Stomp, and Roar” abilities. Plus, a “throw banana” ability has been outed by the leaker too—meaning control of King Kong is also swinging its way into Fortnite! The consensus is a fight is brewing between King Kong and Godzilla.
