Following the conclusion of the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship, Epic Games revealed major updates for the future of competitive Fortnite. The announcement outlined exciting changes and new opportunities for players heading into 2026.

The 2026 Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) will officially be played in Duos, marking the return of one of the community’s most popular formats. In addition, several new events are on the horizon:
- FNCS Mid-Season LAN – A brand-new international event that will bring the best players together more frequently.
- Reload Elite Series LAN – Competitive LANs tied to the Fortnite Reload mode.
- $1M Mobile Series – A dedicated global competition for Fortnite Mobile players with a massive prize pool.
Epic also confirmed major system updates and fan-favorite returns:
- Ranked 2.0 – An overhaul of Fortnite’s ranked system.
- Pro-Am Returns – Celebrities and pros teaming up once again for high-energy competition.
- LAN Returns to Europe – Marking a long-awaited comeback for live competitive Fortnite events in Europe.
This is just the beginning of what’s in store for 2026 and beyond, with Epic promising more information soon. The competitive scene is set for one of its biggest years yet.
