FortniteTracker recaps the first tournament of 2023 - the Elite Cup day 1.

The competitive season of the new chapter has officially begun. The last season of Fortnite - Chapter 3 Season 4 - had ended with the biggest LAN event after the world cup. The main mode continues to be duo, and the ways to qualify for subsequent tournaments have changed. You can read more about that in this article.

Day 1 offered a lot and started to show us what the best duos can be in this new year. In this article, I will summarize this Elite Cup, looking forward to Day 2.

After a long time French players returned to the top of the leaderboard, PodaSai and Xsweeze win day 1 in Europe, while the upcomer TchypSs takes second place with DKS. Pinq and Nebs, a new unexpected duo, manage to take third place. Worth mentioning is the fifth position of the now historical duo MrSavage, IDrop. More was expected from Queasy, Veno, Malibuca, and Th0masHD, who finished in 52nd and 53rd, respectively.
