Chapter 5 Season 4 Competitive Details!

Battle Royale Chapter 5 Season 4 is here, bringing us closer to the FNCS Global Championship 2024, where the top players will compete for a share of the $2,002,000 prize pool.

To celebrate the culmination of FNCS 2024, Fortnite's Champions Road event will run from August 21 to September 29. This competitive celebration will feature goals and tournaments for players of all skill levels, so check out what's coming up and get a head start on the competition!

Embrace the Spirit of Competition in Champions Road

Battle Royale's Champions Road Quests will be live from August 21st at 9 AM ET until September 29th at 9 AM ET. You don't have to play in all of the tournaments below, but participating in some of them will help you complete the tournament-specific objectives in the quests.

Throughout the season, players can compete for cash prizes in tournaments totaling over $4,000,000, not including the Global Championship. This season also introduces Reload tournaments, with over $1,000,000 in prizes dedicated to Reload competitions.

Tournament Summary

Champion Kyra + Cosmic Infinity FNCS Cup

It may not be infinite, but there are many paths to victory on Champions Road. The Champion Kyra + Cosmic Infinity FNCS Cup is similar to the FNCS Community Cup from Chapter 4 Season 4. Become a champion by earning these returning FNCS items before they hit the store on August 28th at 8pm ET:

Add to your Locker with the Champion Stash’d Cup! This event offers another chance to earn FNCS items before they return to the Shop on September 18 at 8 PM ET:

Champion Kuno + Renzo the Champion FNCS Cup

Go for the gold in the Champion Kuno + Renzo the Champion FNCS Cup, a new Duos Battle Royale event! Your duo can play up to ten matches in your region’s three-hour time window. The specific event timing for your region can be found in the “Compete” tab in-game. The top point-earning duos in each region will be awarded these items before they debut in the Shop on September 4 at 8 PM ET:

PlayStation SypherPK Cup

PlayStation players! Don't have the SypherPK outfit in your collection? Well, you'll have another chance to get it in this Solo Battle Royale event! In the Qualifier, the top scoring players from each region will advance to the Finals, which will take place the following day. In the finals, the top players from each region will receive a share of the $250,000 prize pool and these returning SypherPK items:

Victory Cash Cups - On the regular schedule for Mondays (Solo Battle Royale and Zero Build) and Saturdays (Squads Reload)

Compete for cash! In Victory Cash Cups, you don't necessarily win cash by finishing in the top spot. Instead, you get cash for every Victory Royale you or your team wins in Round 2! The top scoring parties in each region during Round 1 will advance to Round 2, which will take place on the same day as Round 1.

There'll be plenty of opportunities to participate in a Victory Cash Cup during Chapter 5 Season 4, with either the Solo Battle Royale, Solo Zero Build, or Squads Reload format! (To participate in a Squads Reload Victory Cash Cup, you must be ranked Gold I or higher in Battle Royale.)

Performance Evaluations - On the regular schedule for Tuesdays

These cups are designed to help us better understand how to improve performance and test new ideas for high-end tournament play. While they're unlikely to replicate the exact conditions of an FNCS Grand Final, we're adjusting eligibility for Performance Evaluations this season to make them more competitive. This Season, Performance Evaluations will only be available to players from the top 1,000 NA and EU FNCS teams from the previous Season (Chapter 5 Season 3).

This season, we'll be introducing Reload Performance Evaluations in the NA region!

Cash Cups - On the regular schedule for Wednesdays

Compete with a companion for cash. In Chapter 5 Season 4, you'll have plenty of opportunities to enter either the Battle Royale Duos Cash Cup or the Zero Build Duos Cash Cup. Whichever one you choose, it'll be played over two rounds, with the top 50 duos advancing to Round 2 the day after Round 1!

The top 40 Battle Royale Duos and the top ten Zero Build Duos will receive cash prizes, and we've significantly increased the first-place prize for the winning Battle Royale Duos in NA and EU ($10,000).

Reload Platform Cash Cups - On the regular schedule for Fridays

Compete against your fellow PC, console, or mobile players... all of whom are fellow Reload players! Throughout Chapter 5 Season 4, there will be separate Cups for PC, console and mobile, all in the Duos format. Each Cup will have two rounds on the same day. The top 20 duos in each region will advance to Round 2, with cash prizes awarded to the top ten PC and console duos and the top three mobile duos.

Ranked Cups - On the regular schedule for Saturdays

Throughout Chapter 5 Season 4, you'll have frequent opportunities to play duos against other players in the same rank pool. Compete in either Battle Royale or Zero Build! You'll have the option to queue as a fill player yourself, so you can be matched with a fill partner.

Your victory is just around the corner: earn at least 50 points in any Ranked Cup this season to earn the Ranker's Doom Brella!

The Champions Road… Ventures Outside Battle Royale?

Battle Royale isn't the only way to become a champion - dive into Rocket Racing, hit new highs in Fortnite Festival, and score replay-worthy goals in Rocket League:

Rocket Racing - Put the “Road” in Champions Road

In Rocket Racing, Ranked Racing is where you put it all on the line - at the starting line. Rocket Racing's Champions Road Quests will have you racing a lot of Ranked Racing. Two quests will be unlocked each day from August 21st through August 30th, and will be available until September 29th at 9am ET. Get ready to turbo, dodge hazards, and leave the competition in your wake.

On your way to champion stardom, unlock Starchain Wheels by completing a single quest. Unlock Starchain colors as you complete more quests, with Gold being the ultimate reward!

Fortnite Festival - Make the Note Highway Your Road

From September 4, with the release of v31.10, to September 29 at 9 AM ET, the I’m A Winner and Beyond The Flame Jam Tracks will be featured in Fortnite Festival’s rotation. To claim these Jam Tracks, gold star them by September 29 at 9 AM ET! To gold star a song, fill the gold meter after reaching five stars on Expert. It’s you against the rhythm.

Rocket League - Where the Road Began

Rocket League fans may recognize Champions Road from the Rocket League World Championship celebration of the same name. This year's in-game Champions Road event in Rocket League starts in September, but we're kicking things off early with a series of open tournaments with over $475,000 in global prize money up for grabs.

Register now for the Rocket League Open 1v1, Open 2v2, or Open 3v3 Rumble Tournaments, which run from August 23 through September 8. Be sure to sign up early before registration closes, and keep an eye out for more news on in-game Rocket League Champions Road content coming soon to the game's social channels!

Take Champions Road on the road - you can also sign up now for the Sideswipe Open 1v1 tournament, which runs from September 20-22.

Passing The Axe of Champions 2.0… to the Community!

Since the introduction of the Axe of Champions 2.0, it's been a prize reserved for the regional winners of FNCS tournaments - passed down from one champion to the next.

This season, the Axe will be awarded to the winners of the Champion Kuno + Renzo the Champion FNCS Cup. For the first time ever, it will be available for purchase in the Fortnite Store on September 4 at 8pm ET. Since the axe is no longer a limited item, the winners of the Champion Kuno + Renzo the Champion FNCS Cup will keep it in their locker. All previous regional FNCS winners of The Axe will also have it in their locker before it becomes available in the store.

What's next in the Axe of Champions series? A third iteration is in the works and will replace The Axe of Champions 2.0 as the reward that's passed from one FNCS champion to the next!

What is the best way to report suspected cheating in tournaments?

Please report any suspicious activity on our official Tournament Support Discord server and through the in-game reporting tools. You can also use the Discord server to report any tournament issues or bugs you experience during tournament play.
