Fortnite’s favorite duo is through to the Finals and looks determined to succeed!
And just like that, FNCS qualifiers are over. After a few short days packed with Fortnite action, Semi Finals remain the last opportunity to book a space in that all important lobby, where teams will fight for their share of $3,000,000.
As of right now, sixteen duos in each region have earned their place in the Chapter 3 Season 1 Finals. Among them is a mixture of new talent and seasoned pros, but the inclusion of one pairing especially has got fans across the world buzzing.
EU stars Benjyfishy and MrSavage are undeniably two of the biggest names in Fortnite. Neither has won an FNCS title up till now, though they have both placed second on separate occasions.

Earlier in the season, there was plenty of doubt as to whether Benjy and Savage still have what it takes to compete at the highest level. They each spent time with their orgs in the US at the beginning of Chapter 3, and Benjy was ill upon his return meaning they took a while to get back into the swing of things.
However, they have since proved the nonbelievers wrong. A couple of strong Cash Cups performances have now been followed up with a second-place finish in FNCS Qualifier 2 - Round 3, booking them a ticket straight to Finals.
Benjyfishy and MrSavage have shown that they can take on the best mechanically, and also that they have a solid endgame strategy. Their chemistry is crazy and they stick together almost telepathically, which is one of the most important aspects of Duos.
How well they do in Finals will largely depend on their engagements with BadSniper and DKS off spawn. If the two teams can split the loot at Tilted Towers and avoid any long, drawn-out battles, they can both leave with strong loadouts and potentially pop off.

We do sadly have to wave goodbye to some fan-favorites who didn’t collect enough series points to make Semis and are therefore completely out of this season’s FNCS. Mongraal and Mitr0, Scoped and Blake, and even Reet and Rehx on NA West all failed to qualify.

Another huge upset is the absence of Nebs and Hellfire in EU. They have been one of the most consistent teams of the season, having clocked three top 10 placements in Cash Cup Round 2s so far.
Many blame the condensed FNCS format for some of the surprising results, arguing that it’s too easy for one or two rough games to knock you out. Other players say they have simply lacked the motivation to practice in this current meta and hope to push forward next season.
