Leaked Event and Vaulted Items Appearing on Loot Lake Screens

Season 8 was starting to seem like the dullest season to date until the volcano started to smoke and the dig site appeared around Loot Lake. Now, it seems like one of the busiest seasons in terms of events.

There were a lot of theories surrounding the giant door found at the bottom of the excavation site. Was it a UFO? Was it a giant hatch?

Well, new details appear to point to it being a vault. Not a just a vault, though, but the vault. Vaulted items and weapons are starting to appear on screens around the dig site as if someone is decoding what's underneath the vault door.

So far, we've seen the drum gun and the bouncer make an appearance on the Loot Lake screens.

We also have a leak that shows a bit more about how the event will play out. As you can see from the clip below, it looks like the Jump Pad and Drum Gun will be joined by the Grappler, Infinity Blade, and Plane.

Fans think that this event may kick off some in-game voting system, wherein players will vote for the item they want to return to Fortnite.

If this is the case, I'm guessing most players will vote for the Jump Pad and the Grappler. These are useful items that don't break the game in the same way that the Infinity Blade and plane did. Admittedly - even though I loved it - the Drum Gun was OP as well.

This event looks to expand on the "World's Collide" event from a few seasons ago. Fortnite is knocking on the door to the real world, where these items now lie.
