All leaks from the Fortnite v19.30 update: New Monarch skin, Homing Rocket & Earthquakes

Fortnite v19.30 is live. We broke down all the key leaks, from cosmetics to the latest IO mischief.

Compared to the other updates we’ve seen so far in Fortnite Chapter 3, Tuesday’s v19.30 patch could be considered a little underwhelming. Rather than fresh content, the new build adds a couple of changes to the game settings and UI.

Gyro aiming and “Flick Stick” options are now accessible for all players on Nintendo Switch, Android, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC. This allows you to control the camera by moving your controller.

Additionally, the initial “select game mode” screen that displays when you first load up Fortnite has been removed. You will now load directly into the Battle Royale lobby, and can get to both Save the World mode and Creative via the “Discover” section.

Though there may not have been any crazy new weapons or locations like we’ve seen recently, v19.30 did uncover some exciting leaks:

Cosmetics

Monarch skin & bonus styles

The Monarch Outfit is set to go live February 16 and comes with a selection of Quests to earn some awesome bonuses. It is currently set to be purchasable with V-Bucks but could switch to a real money transaction.

Popular dataminer @iFireMonkey shared the rewards for the Monarch challenges, which will unlock weekly until March 10:

- 28 Levels

- Shattered Wings Backbling (Available Week 1)

- Monarch's Glow Wrap (Available Week 2 (Feb. 24th @ 9 AM ET)

- Golden Style for Shattered Wings (Available Week 3 (Mar. 3rd @ 9 AM ET)

- Golden Style for Monarch Skin (Available Week 4 (Mar. 10th @ 9 AM ET)

A new all-white “Blizzard Buster” style was also added for the Kuno Outfit and “toon” versions of Peely and Bush Ranger are imminent too.

Weapons

According to @HYPEX, Epic appears to be working on a new item labelled “Homing Rocket”. So far it has two tags: Launcher Homing Rocket and Missile Locked.

It’s been a while since we got a unique new explosive, and fans will be hoping this one hangs around a bit longer than the Guided Missile from Chapter 1!

IO Drillers

It sounds like the IO will be upping their drilling efforts on the Island. Expect to feel earthquakes around the map, and player builds near drill sites could be damaged or broken by the impact.

A bunch of new audio files were added in v19.30 including Drill Starting, Fissure Burst, Ground Smoke, Rattle Metal Debris, Rattle Wood Debris, Rattle Stone Debris, and Screen Shake. This could all potentially be building towards a big end of season event.
