Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies casts players into Die Maschine, an abandoned Nazi facility set in Morasko, Poland, with the ever-growing threat of an undead horde. Aside from the survival-style gameplay and competitive quests, Zombies puts forth a mysterious storyline which players are tasked with uncovering throughout the multiple maps which release during the title's lifecycle.
The Hulking Summoner is just one of many oddities that, at the time of writing, cannot be accurately explained. This article details how to activate this distant creature.
In the Day 1,646 entry in the preseason Dark Aether intel, it's revealed that the Hulking Summoner is commonly referred to as an Elder God by those trapped within the Dark Aether.
The Stranger reports seeing giants. They say they’ve met others who call them Elder Gods.
Day 1,646: Saw something new today. Something big. Tall as building, walking through fog. Difficult to see details.
Kept my distance as it passed. I heard talk from others that "giants" roam this land but dismissed it as madness. Heard one call them "elder gods."
Thought I catalogued all creatures here and their pecking order. I was wrong.
Hulking Summoner
To activate the Hulking Summoner, you must reach Round 42 in Die Maschine. This can be achieved with any number of players, however, your mileage may vary if attempted outside of the classic Zombies mode.
Once Round 42 is reached, simply enter the Dark Aether through one of the many Anomalies found within the map.
The Hulking Summoner can be found lurking in the forest outside of the map near the Pond. Once this short sequence finishes, that is the end of this quest.
