Free Essence Guide for Die Maschine in Black Ops Cold War Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies casts players into Die Maschine, an abandoned Nazi facility set in Morasko, Poland, with the ever-growing threat of an undead horde. To aid players in their survival, 1,500 Essence can be collected at the end of a short quest.

Although the main attraction of this quest is its reward, it also serves as the key to the G Cipher intel.

Free Essence

Prerequisites

• Turn on the Power.
• Reforge the Machine.
• Obtain the Dead Wire Ammo Mod from the Pack-a-Punch.

Position the Satellites

Three satellites can be found position on top of towers located throughout the map in the following locations.

Upon shooting a satellite with a weapon equipped with Dead Wire, it will rotate. Repeat this process until each satellite is positioned toward the antenna on the "Penthouse" - a blue pulse will briefly appear on a satellite once it is correctly rotated.

• Yard: Left of the bunker door to Main Power
• Crash Site: Right of Juggernog in the forest
• Pond: Right of Quick Revive in the forest

Collect the Reward

Once all three satellites are correctly positioned, beams of energy will strike the antenna found on the "Penthouse". Once this short sequence completes, three Large Zombie Essences, totalling 1,500 Essence, can be collected from this location.

G Cipher

The G Cipher is a preseason Omega Group intel collectible which is dropped at random upon killing the Megaton in Die Maschine. This intel features a cipher which requires a key to be deciphered. The Free Essence quest invokes an audio que within the map which grants players the key to solving this cipher.

Upon completing this quest, Valentina will read the following number sequence three times.

Valentina: Three...four...five...eight...three...four...eight...two...five.

Using this key, the G Cipher can be deciphered into a plaintext which reads as follows.
