How to Get a Free Legendary Weapon Upgrade on Forsaken in Black Ops Cold War Zombies

Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies casts players into Forsaken, a secluded facility harboring a secretive operation. Looking to increase the firepower of your weapon? Prove your marksmanship for a free Legendary weapon upgrade.

As opposed to the Aether Tool quest found in previous round-based maps, Forsaken requires players to complete a quest for each individual weapon class. There is also no Aether Tool powerup, the weapon in-hand is immediately upgraded to Legendary upon completion. This offers increased flexability, allowing multiple players to upgrade their weapons.

Free Legendary Upgrade

Target Practice

Equip the weapon which you desire to upgrade, then locate and interact with the blueprint that pertains to its class. Upon activation, a series of targets will spawn in a designated location. Quickly and accurately shoot these targets until the equipped weapon is upgraded to Legendary. Enemies will ignore the player during target practice. An audio cue will indicate failure.

Note: Blueprints and targets for the weapon classes that are not listed are currently unfound. Let us know if you find them!

Submachine Guns

• Blueprint: Main Street on cinder blocks
• Targets: Unknown

Pistols

• Blueprint: Anytown West flowerbed
• Targets: Anytown West facility near flowerbed

Snipers

• Blueprint: Video Store Rooftop air conditioning units
• Targets: Video Store Rooftop windows near Bar and Grill, Cinema, and Observation Tower
