When Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launched on Friday, November 13th, 2020, fans of the elusive Dead Ops Arcade were unaware of the upcoming support for what was previously an afterthought of a mode. In Treyarch's first and third entries to the Black Ops franchise, Dead Ops Arcade seen previous revisions which would comparatively go under the radar compared to their 2020 counterpart.
In the months following release, Dead Ops Arcade has become a staple of the Black Ops Cold War experience, with significant content updates and balance adjustments to keep things fresh. With the Season Four update, players which fall into the best of the best category will now have an all-new achievement to chase.
Maximum Effort Demonstrated!
Previously, when a player reached the maximum 9x score multiplier in Dead Ops Arcade, they would be granted a randomly-chosen third Fate. As such an accomplishment requires a significant amount of time and coordination, Treyarch have reconsidered the stakes and swapped the third Fate with a new "mystery award."
Now, upon reaching the coveted 9x score multiplier, the inventory of every player in the match is maximized; this means maximum lives, speed boosts, nukes, and keys!

Treyarch's Chief Technology Officer and the Creator of Dead Ops Arcade, David King, took to Twitter to congratulate players Shadow, Freedom, MacMinty, and Rambo for seemingly being the first team to do the deed shortly after its addition to the game. At this time, it would seem that there are no other secrets to uncover in regard to the "mystery award," however, we'll keep you updated if this is to change.
Congrats to Shadow, Freedom, MacMinty and Rambo for knocking down the 9x run in #DOA3 "Maximum Effort Demonstrated!" #deadops3 Not sure if they're the first but well done!
