Time to settle the score.

A trap has been set. A CIA safehouse has been hit. And an old enemy returns to get his revenge.

After storming an experimental Nova 6 production site on Rebirth Island, Russell Adler has made a powerful enemy in Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin, the ex-KGB leader of the Nova 6 program. And Stitch is looking to settle the score.

Now, Adler and his CIA strike team find themselves trapped, and surrounded by enough Nova 6 nerve gas to throw the world off its axis.

Season One arrives to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on December 16.

Package Received

On Sunday, December 6th at 10AM PT, influencers in the Call of Duty community, such as CharlieINTEL and Espresso, revealed that Activision had sent them a mysterious package. Within this package, many items from the Cold War era can be found; An amateur radio, amateur radio world map, notepad, large screw, and a piece of paper containing several numbers.

Signal Test

Fans immediately noticed that the included screw bolt was abnormally large, this led to suggestions of twisting the head of the screw, which successfully revealed a hidden compartment within. Inside was another piece of paper containing a memo for radio frequency.

Station Name Frequency Time (PST) Date
SIGNAL TEST 17790 9AM-1PM 12/6
SIGNAL TEST 17790 6AM-7AM 12/7
TRANSMISSION 17790 7AM-10AM 12/7

Tuning the included amateur radio to the aforementioned frequency during the allotted time period resulted in an ominous tune being played over the air. As expected, this was simply a signal test and there was nothing further to find.

While many pages of the included notepad were seemingly empty, one page contained the URL 673763436741.com. Upon navigating to this page, the user is greeted with a terminal which reads ZASHA Version 2.0.3 12.02.76.

Once the terminal is initialized, the user is prompted to enter a username, followed by a pseudo authentication sequence. At this point, prior to Monday, December 7th at 7AM PT, the user would be greeted with a countdown; However, once the countdown has ended, the user can proceed.

Payback

Once prompted for the first sequence, the user must enter PAYBACK into the terminal. This will simply provide a link to the YouTube homepage, encouraging the user to follow along with influencers and fans who are solving the terminal's secrets.

Stitch is Coming

Once prompted for the second sequence, the user must enter STITCHISCOMING into the terminal. This will result in a dossier containing information for a new Operator named Stitch who is expected to release in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone!

Name: Vikhor 'Stitch' Kuzmin
DOB: 08/14/1938
Nationality: Russian
Birthplace: Moscow

Faction: Warsaw Pact

Blood Type: B+

SERVICE RECORD:

1959 – Graduates Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology – Faculty of Technology of Organic Substances and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

1959 – Joins KGB Operations and Technology Directorate, assigned Laboratory 12 R&D facility.

1965 – Assigned to manage production facilities on ███████ ██████, reporting directly to Colonel Kravchenko.

1968 – Captured and interrogated by the CIA following a raid on the ███████ facility. Loses an eye to CIA Agent Russell Adler during interrogation but gives up nothing other than his name and rank. For failing to repel the CIA operation, Kravchenko has him stripped of his rank, and sent to the Petropavlovsk Gulag.

1976 – An attack on the Gulag by a small team of unknown operatives leaves many guards and prisoners dead. In the aftermath, he is discovered to be missing.

PEER ASSESSMENT:

Initial contacts made in 1970 revealed a broken man questioning his loyalties to a state that had abandoned him. Driven by a burning hatred for Russell Adler, the CIA agent that had taken his eye and cost him everything – as well as of his former commanding officer, Kravchenko – he was open and receptive to our vision for Greater Russia.

His singular drive will make him an excellent asset, and his first-hand knowledge of Project Nova will be invaluable in achieving our goals.

Remote Control

Once prompted for the third sequence, the user must enter REMOTECONTROL into the terminal. This will activate the Remote Control X-Treme Driving minigame, a simple platformer which parodies the Dinosaur Game found in Google Chrome.

Interrogation

Once prompted for the fourth sequence, the user must enter INTERROGATION into the terminal. This will result in a distorted image that resolves into an overhead view of Nuketown, a Multiplayer map featured in Black Ops Cold War. No further information regarding the significance of this sequence is provided.

Vodianoy

Once prompted for the fifth sequence, the user must enter VODIANOY into the terminal. This will result in an animation displaying a missile's path over an unknown mass of land, the word "NOVA" appears just as the animation abruptly ends.

Vozrozhdeniya

Once prompted for the sixth sequence, the user must enter VOZROZHDENIYA into the terminal. This will result in several randomized numbers appearing which are all zeroed-out just before a Congratulations message is displayed. At this point, the user will be redirected to the Season One Cinematic!
