Update
Following our initial reports on the perceived Season Five delay, Activision has confirmed that the upcoming content update will in fact launch one day later than originally expected.
- Black Ops Cold War Update: Wednesday, August 11th at 9PM PT
- Warzone Update: Thursday, August 12th at 9PM PT
We’re giving everyone an extra day to unlock tier 100… but can you get there?

There’s a spy in our ranks and a numbers game in Verdansk. Season Five of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone was initially announced to release on Wednesday, August 11th at 9PM PT; however, it appears that this release date has been shifted to twenty-four hours later than expected.
Earlier today, the Season Five Battle Pass Trailer was released on the official PlayStation YouTube Channel without a subsequent release on any of the official Call of Duty platforms. It has since been removed without notice.

Season Five Delayed
According to the in-game Battle Pass timer, the upcoming Season will now release on Thursday, August 12th at 9PM PT.
The motivation behind this delay and whether or not the new release date is final has yet to be determined. It would appear that this is a reactionary decision for Activision, likely due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the content update.
In addition to the Battle Pass timer update, the Call of Duty website now advertises Season Five as "available this week," where as previously it stated the originally intended release date. This coincides with the idea that an updated release timeline has yet to be established as things remain uncertain for Activision.
Patch Notes
Treyarch's Community Manager has previously stated that the Black Ops Cold War Patch Notes for the Season Five update will release on August 11th. It's unclear whether or not this remains true following the delayed release.
Raven Software has yet to comment on a timeline for Warzone's update and Patch Notes, although it's safe to assume that they will come on the day of the Season's release.
Question: When S5 patch notes?

Answer: These are planned to be posted tomorrow. Stay tuned to @Treyarch.
Preload
Players on PlayStation 5 have historically had the luxury of a pre-downloadable update that allows installation immediately upon the content's release. Although a preload date has yet to be officially announced, reliable sources claim that this rollout continues to shift. It's unclear whether its current state is final.
